The Story: Kim Moreno is a brilliant clinical lab technician working for a top Biopharma company – calm on the outside but tormented by inner demons. Haunted by the mysterious death of her little sister and then the sudden disappearance of her father a decade ago, Kim secretly self-medicates with synthetic opioids stolen from work. But everything changes when Kim hears desperate cries for help echoing from the Souhegan River. She dives into the icy waters to save a drowning girl named Julie. She stumbles into a chilling secret - a hidden community of teenagers living inside of a mountain, battling deadly illnesses, and resisting the dark control of a powerful mining syndicate led by the ruthless Lee Chen. Thrown into a dangerous underworld, Kim teams up with Nick, a brooding cowboy with a painful past who joins the fight to protect the sick teens and uncover the truth about her sister’s death. As seismic tremors signal disaster and time runs out, Kim must face the ultimate choice: save herself or risk everything to bring justice to those who have none.
