The Boy in Mom’s Basement

At 18 years of age, Lance leaves the basement where he has spent much of his life. He goes looking for three things: adulthood, love, and lust. He is armed with a quick mind, which is filled with mostly useless information, gleaned from his mother's fan magazines, and the used library books that she purchased at five dollars per shopping-bag full. He finds unlikely friends, who try to mold him into a functioning human being. In the process of learning all he needs, he discovers that becoming an adult requires more than gaining full size; that love is complicated; and that lust can interfere with finding adulthood and love.
