Staged for Murder

Description

"I know we all change and grow, but this is something so much deeper. This is about my soul. I'm different fundamentally. I still love you and the kids, but I'm in a different place. My path in life has changed, and I need to be with someone who truly understands that."

I didn't say anything for a very long time. "So. How old is she?"

It's the same old story. When Beth Bailey's college professor husband, Jack, leaves her after finding his "soulmate" at Nevada’s Burning Man festival, Beth's comfortable life is turned on its head. Desperate for a job, she takes on the position of Artistic Director at a historic opera house in the quaint little New Hampshire town of Hampton Corners.

Rehearsals for the Christmas show are in full swing but life is never easy in a small theater. Dealing with irate stage mothers, feuding board members, and faulty equipment, Beth has her hands full. But when she discovers a dead body center stage, the local sheriff has his eyes on her as the number one suspect. With Jack now threatening to take their two kids to live with him and his girlfriend on their organic rutabaga farm, it's up to Beth and her friend, Carla, to find the real killer and make sure the show goes on!
