Welcome to Papaya Burger! My name's Shiella. I've folded origami cranes since high school, always as a way to keep my hands busy while also creating something beautiful. I would leave cranes wherever I went or gave them away to friends and family. 20 years later, I found myself with a lot of time on my hands and boxes of cranes that started taking over my living room. Cranes by Papaya Burger was created as a way to share these cranes with even more people. The origami crane ornaments originally started as Christmas ornaments that I gave as gifts to family and friends, but they've evolved into year-round decor. Over the years, I started sourcing broken and salvaged jewelry and incorporating these little pieces of history into the cranes. Each one is unique from start to finish!
