I'm Christine, the maker and owner of Sew Creative Gift Shop! Sewing is something that is near and dear to me as I started sewing alongside my grandmother when I was a child. Today Sew Creative Gift Shop is entering its 10th year in business and you can find my items in various stores, in person at a number of New England area events, and on my website.
Additionally I offer sewing classes where I help others learn the joy (and fun!) of creating something by hand.
I sew and embroider items that bring joy and color to everyday life. Some of the most popular items are embroidered towels, embroidered and appliqued sweatshirts (including memory shirts), iron-on patches, embroidered pillows and other thoughtful gifts. I love custom orders so if you are thinking of something special and unique, I would love to hear from you!
Sewing machine classes take place over 4 weeks, meeting weekly for 2 hours. All materials are included in the class fee. In the first class, we'll cover sewing machine basics and jump into creating a reversible tote bag. We will also make a zippered pouch and pillow over the course of the program. What You Need to Bring: Your sewing machine (optional, but highly recommended for personalized learning, limited machines are available to rent for the session). All machine accessories, including power cords. Your machine's manual if you have it (not required, but helpful). This class is not an introduction to your machine. If you are looking for an introductory class, check out our "Getting to know your Sewing Machine" course. If you need to rent a machine, please email Christine at hello@sewcreativegiftshop.com so an invoice can be created for you.
