Jackie Hanson Art
Belmont, NH
"Jackie Hanson (b. 1999, Belmont, NH) spent her childhood in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, raised in a family where art and creativity were always encouraged. While growing up, she became familiar with the beauty of the outdoors in New England: lakes, mountains, small farms, and plenty of day trips to the ocean.
Her New England upbringing is a major influence on her subject matter. Using a variety of media, she explores themes of nature as a force at play with humanity, both opposed and aligned with one another.
Jackie graduated from New England College’s Institute of Art and Design in 2022 with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She is currently working at her alma mater's Library while building her practice into a career."
Jackie Hanson is a painter and printmaker. She creates paintings inspired by nature, and then reproduces them as wall art prints, greeting cards, stickers, and magnets. Most of her printmaking is relief prints carved from pink erasers (works like a stamp) to create tiny, 1x2 artwork in multiples.
