Take your watercolor skills to the next level in this two-part Beyond the Basics class as we paint a vibrant 10x13 Venetian canal scene filled with colorful buildings and boats. Designed for students who have taken at least two classes with me or have prior watercolor experience, this workshop focuses on building stronger technique and confidence. We'll explore color placement for interest and cohesion, loose pen work, creating an interesting sky quickly, color mixing on the page, and techniques such as layering, wet-on-dry, and creating both hard and soft edges. You'll also learn how to add those final touches that bring a painting to life. We'll practice throughout the class on scrap paper so you can confidently complete your final painting. No Sew Fabric art. In this class we'll be learning how to create an image (appx 4"x6") by tucking fabric scraps into styrofoam. Various templates will be available. Join us for this fun ocean resin mini wall art class and leave a gorgeous piece of art! ! Everything you need to make your own bracelets will be provided, including latex gloves and N-95 masks. We will also supply the sand but you're welcome to bring your own to add that personal touch. You will need to leave your project to cure over night with the pickup time communicated at the class. If you have respiratory issues you may want to bring a respirator or not participate as minor fumes are emitted from the resin.
